(from the post diabetic ketoacidosis)
X was hospitalized yesterday afternoon and should be coming home today. I am so tired, both from not getting much sleep while staying with her at the hospital as well as all the nights before she was admitted, while she was getting more and more ill. I knew that it was diabetic ketoacidosis, which I can usually take care of at home, but she has an infection that caused that state so hospitalization was necessary. She is now on antibiotics for only the second time in her life. I haven’t had them in 16-17 years either.
Tired.

I guess the bright side I can see is that it isn’t some mystery problem. It is always better to know the cause and how to handle things. I’ll be thinking of you guys!
