I have started to wrap gifts for my man and my child. Per usual, there are no names on them so that they don’t know which ones to shake. So far, I am using a soft brown packing paper that came with the saw that I ordered for the mister. I don’t think that he has time to read my journal; I feel safe revealing that here. There are two sheets of this paper left and, if I should run out, I will use grocery store bags for larger boxes. I certainly won’t run out of scrap yarn.

I love the natural look of the packages. There is something so homey about them.

I’m doing the same trick with yarn. I’m kicking myself for ever investing in ribbon. I like the effect so much better. So figure.
Beautiful!
I’d love to know your trick for remembering which package goes to which person. It would be very useful to use that at my house!
I’m fortunate that I’m only gifting two people (at our house), so I don’t have trouble keeping track of gifts. Well, once I handed out the wrong gift last year but caught it before it was revealed. *whew*
So rustic and simple–and beautiful, too. I love this idea.
